A Robins Song - Amy Papiransky PRS/MCPS

My superstitious thoughts...

lyrics

A Robins Song

Verse 1
You have wings but cannot fly, but now your gone the robin flys by.
They say this bird, it holds a soul, something precious nothing more.
And In the dark wood I will hear, a Robin’s song.

Small break

Verse 2
The rain In a pond will shimmer so, the stones in a bath will glimmer no more.
Oh you had wings in your heart it flew out, and I feel this more than I ever did doubt.

Chorus
So I will fly one day with you, just like a kite in the wind – only two.
But for you now, Ill watch and hear the Robin’s song.

Verse 3
Oh we are not filled with fear and we are not filled with grief.
This is of the birds song, it fills me with anger.
And not with you and not with I, but the story I hold with me deep inside.
